At Lionheart, our mission is to ensure that young adults have access to high-quality mental health support when facing anxiety-based challenges and life transitions. We are committed to providing professional, timely, and local care to help young adult individuals navigate the complexities of their mental health journey with confidence.  Mental health concerns don’t have to be faced alone, Lionheart provides mental health professionals at this critical season of life.

We understand that not everyone has access to the support they need when they need it. That’s why we focus on increasing awareness, offering education, and expanding therapeutic resources. Additionally, we provide financial subsidies to help remove cost barriers for those with limited coverage or financial constraints.

Our network of Certified Canadian Counsellors specializes in treating mild to moderate anxiety-based conditions in young adults, including mental illness, panic disorders, disordered eating, mild to moderate mood disorders, and trauma. We utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to promote emotional healing, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.

For those who prefer flexibility, we offer online therapy to ensure accessible care no matter where you are.  Many young adults identify access as a significant barrier for mental health support, and we have positioned our programs to specifically address this.

How to Get Free Counseling in Calgary?

We understand the weight behind this question.  Young people desire to be their best self and can feel overwhelmed with all of the things coming at them as they transition from High School to College and/or to the workplace.  We also understand that disposable income at this time can be very hard to find and this can be a very challenging time.

At Lionheart Foundation our mission is to fill in the gap and help people find the resources they need like mental health services and remove the financial barrier.  Emotional challenges, past trauma, managing stress, self-discovery, and individual therapy for anxiety, depression or any other issues can be debilitating enough even if you do have the resources to access help.  But if you don’t these can be compounded.
