Heidi has a strong background in communications, fundraising and donor relations, largely in the not-for-profit sector, and is currently the Director of Philanthropy at the Canadian Women’s Foundation. In this role, Heidi is responsible for the strategic process to cultivate and steward individual donors and corporate partnerships in Alberta, ultimately contributing to the national Philanthropy team.
Heidi brings her deep experience in strategy and donor relations to Lionheart Foundation, where she has been a board member since 2012. She is also a volunteer at many other community-based organizations, including Meals on Wheels, Inn from the Cold, and the Discovery House Family Violence Prevention Society, to name a few.
As a mother of two daughters, Heidi is passionate about supporting young girls as they navigate life’s challenges. She became involved with Lionheart Foundation because she wants every girl to have the opportunity to grow up in a world where they feel wholeheartedly supported and free from anxiety, regardless of their financial resources. Heidi also had a family member who relied on Juno House for help with an anxiety-related disorder. After seeing her success, Heidi knew that she had to get involved!
