Alex brings a diverse background in education, counselling, and leadership to his role as Clinical Director at Lionheart Foundation. Originally from British Columbia, he holds degrees in Drama, Education, and Clinical Social Work. Over the years, he has been involved in a variety of roles across Canada, including position in community health, family counselling, post-secondary education, and private practice.
He has led program supporting male victims of domestic violence, worked as a family counsellor, taught at Mount Royal University, and managed health services in both rural and urban settings. He has also served on provincial and local advisory boards focused on violence prevention and youth engagement.
Passionate about mental health both personally and professionally, Alex also volunteers with an agency called NextGenMen and has collaborated with Movember. In addition, he enjoys travelling, skiing, and motorcycling in his free time. He’s currently working on visiting all seven wonders of the world – three down, four to go!
